What Is School Supply Scramble
School Supply Scramble combines teamwork, problem-solving, and a shared purpose as your group works together to provide essential school supplies for children. In this activity, participants collaborate to complete challenges that earn them the materials needed to fill backpacks with everything from notebooks to pencils and more.
With creativity and strategy at the forefront, teams must communicate and adapt quickly to achieve their goal. Once the backpacks are complete, they’re donated to local schools or charities, creating a tangible way for your team to make a difference.
This activity energizes your group while fostering a sense of accomplishment and connection, leaving everyone inspired by the impact they’ve made together.
School Supply Scramble Agenda
Intro and Team Formation
The event will begin with a welcome from your event host, who will assist in organizing the group into teams. Following this, participants will receive a detailed briefing on the activity. Teams will then be guided on accessing challenges via our Outback web app, using one mobile device per team.
School Supply Scramble Launch
The event host will give instructions on the School Supply Scramble, including an instruction document outlining the tasks at hand and a list of the challenge criteria to earn the supplies needed to produce their care packages.
School Supply Scramble
Teams will engage in school-themed and general challenges via our web app to earn points. These points can be exchanged for supplies to create care packages for deserving children. Supplies can be acquired by completing specific challenges or by reaching certain scores or milestones in the app.
Care Pack Creation
With the supplies earned through challenges, Teams will begin to create their care packages. During this time teams may continue to complete challenges in the app in order to get as many points as possible.
Charity Presentation
When available, the recipient charity will offer a brief presentation about the organization and offer thanks to the participants for their generous donation. If the charity cannot be present at the event, your event host will conduct the presentation on the charity’s behalf.
Wrap Up, Recognition, and Photo Op
Teams will reconvene to exchange experiences and review their submissions. The event host will facilitate discussions on key takeaways and lessons learned, culminating in the announcement of the winning team. Winning teams will be awarded Outback Team Building medals. The event will wrap up with congratulations all around to commemorate a successful event.

We appreciate that weather is not always predictable, so we have a back-up plan in the event of poor weather. We can switch your event to our indoor app-based Team Pursuit event at no extra charge. You would need to arrange a backup space for the activity, and we need notice of 2 hours to make the switch.
We understand that plans can change, so please reach out as early as possible, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs. Date changes may incur a change fee, please reach out to your Sales Engagement Consultant to discuss further.
Our events can take place anywhere. We have event coordinators located across North America who can come directly to you—whether it’s your office, a venue of your choice, a meeting space, or a unique location that best suits your needs. We’re flexible and ready to make your event seamless, no matter the location!
Depending on what the change is, we recommend discussing all changes with your dedicated Event Manager to see if we can accommodate the change.
