Learn how our team connected Black & McDonald with one of our dedicated employee training facilitators within 30 minutes of their initial inquiry.

A dedicated employee training team available within minutes

The task of planning an employee training session can take up valuable office time, and the last thing many of our customers want to do is waste their efforts trying to find a solution, only to miss the mark.

When Black & McDonald contacted our team a few months back, they were looking for a learning and development session that would meet the needs of their unique group, and not take too much time to plan. Here’s how their experience with our team went:

10:20 a.m. – Black & McDonald sent in their online inquiry for a learning and development session.

10:25 a.m. – Just five minutes later, our employee engagement team had followed up with a phone call. The call helped the team at Black & McDonald share the specifics of their group and what they hoped to achieve with employee training.

10:50 a.m. – Within 10 minutes of finishing up the initial consultation, Black & McDonald had another call, this time with one of our training facilitators for a more in-depth conversation regarding their objectives.

The task of planning a training session could have dragged out over several weeks, and eaten up precious time for the employee in charge of organizing the training. Instead, half an hour later, she had secured a:

  • Trusted third party provider
  • Custom employee training recommendations
  • Dedicated facilitator with real-world experience

Three weeks later, the Black & McDonald group was attending their customized learning and development session.

Custom learning and development for a unique team

Taking place in Toronto, Ontario, the session was custom-built for Black & McDonald’s regional improvement coordinators team. As a group comprised of employees from different offices across the country, they wanted this annual session to offer a memorable program fit for the specific needs of the unique team. “Really enjoyed the session! Highly recommend Lyndon. Excellent facilitator – articulate, calm, and knowledgeable.“ — Black & McDonald

The group of 14 participants took part in a half-day tailor-made training program that was built around the objectives of the group, including topics, such as:

  • Emotional intelligence and influence
  • Communication styles
  • Value of vulnerability in a leader

Presented by our lead skill development facilitator, Lyndon Friesen, the intimate, customized session allowed the Black & McDonald team to:

  • Have meaningful interactions with the facilitator
  • Address their key objectives
  • Come away from the session with practical tools

The program was such a success with this Black & McDonald group, that another team from the company will be taking part in a session this fall.
