If your team enjoyed the popular Amazing Race reality TV show, they will love the Amazing Chase team building activity. Experience a virtual journey around the world and get to see the sights of the city. Travel through the orient, stopover in Paris then head south of the border while racing against the clock.

Teams visit popular tourist attractions and get to explore the city while working together in teams to solve clues. They will have to navigate through Route Markers, Road Blocks and Detours in a race against the clock. Each group collects points in pursuit of being crowned an Amazing Chase champion.

Using smartphone technology, participants will be guided by hosts and GPS markers, answer trivia questions, and record the experience in the form of photos and videos. Participants will also encounter challenges where they will need to "get inspection" from the hosts who will give them codes to unlock clues to their next challenge.

Example Challenges

High Tea. When in Britain, do as the British do and settle in for a spot of tea. But what to drink it in? Head to Granville Street downtown Vancouver, to collect discarded beverage containers. Before the Queen (Elizabeth Theatre), recreate the tower of London, stacking the containers exactly one meter high (no more, no less). Take a photo of your beverage stack next to the extended measuring tape as proof it’s the right height.

Tourist Trapped. Complete the following quiz. Each question has a specific numerical answer. Enter in the answers in digit form in the exact order they were asked to pass this challenge. 1. This Calgary sculpture brightens up the plaza and symbolizes our city parks. Count the parks for your first answer. 2. These ladies never leave the plaza, how many gals do you see? 3. In what year was the “Bank” established? 4. In what year was the “les femmes sont des personnes” created?

Route Marker:

Tourist Attraction. This district is Vancouver’s oldest, yet this landmark is still so young. It requires the use of three electric motors in order to blow off some steam. Head to this historic landmark and take a photo of a teammate standing in front of it, then place the image of the Vancouver Canucks jersey on your teammate to make it a truly local photo.
