What Is The Olympiad Challenge
The Olympiad Challenge is a corporate Olympics-themed team building event inspired by the ancient games and redesigned for the modern workplace. Your group is split into teams, or “nations,” each with a name, a flag, and one shared goal: earn the most points and take home gold!
Guided by a professional host, teams kick things off with a welcome ceremony and an Olympic Oath centered on fair play and integrity. Every challenge is built so people of all fitness levels can jump in and contribute, which makes this a genuinely inclusive Olympic team building activity no matter who’s on your roster.
Here’s what to expect:
- Teams of 4 to 8 people compete as their own “nation,” complete with a custom flag and team name
- A mix of of challenges that test strategy, communication, and physical skill
- A professional host runs the event from opening ceremony to medal ceremony
- Points are tracked throughout, with a final award ceremony crowning the top team
- The format scales from 25 to 2,000+ participants, so it works for a single department or a company wide gathering

The Olympiad Challenge Agenda
Welcome
The event will begin with a welcome from your event host, who will assist in organizing the group into teams at the specified location. Following this, participants will receive a detailed briefing on the activity.
Team Formation + The Olympic Oath
Participants form teams, create their own countries, and design a flag. Each team takes the Olympic Oath, pledging to uphold integrity, fairness, and sportsmanship. The competition then begins!
Olympiad Challenge
Teams compete in 20 challenges spread across four colored quadrants. These challenges, inspired by ancient athletic games, utilize supplies from the team bag and include both mental and physical tasks. Teams select the challenges they wish to undertake, with some being head-to-head and others self-guided. Event hosts will assist as needed. Points are awarded for successfully completed challenges.
Wrap Up, Recognition and Photo Op
Teams will reconvene to exchange experiences and review their efforts. The event host will facilitate discussions on key takeaways and lessons learned, culminating in the announcement of the winning team. Winning teams will be awarded Outback Team Building medals. The event will wrap up with congratulations all around to commemorate a successful event.

The Olympiad Challenge Photos
The Olympiad Challenge is an Olympic-themed corporate team building activity where teams compete in a series of athletic and skill-based games for medals, blending friendly competition with team strategy.
The Olympiad Challenge is designed for large outdoor groups, typically scaling from smaller teams up to 100+ employees competing across multiple game stations.
Unlike single-activity outdoor formats, The Olympiad Challenge structures the whole event as a themed multi-event competition with medals, making it a strong fit for large-scale field days and company picnics.
We appreciate that weather is not always predictable, so we have a back-up plan in the event of poor weather. We can switch your event to our indoor app-based Team Pursuit event at no extra charge. You would need to arrange a backup space for the activity, and we need notice of 2 hours to make the switch.
We understand that plans can change, so please reach out as early as possible, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs. Date changes may incur a change fee, please reach out to your Sales Engagement Consultant to discuss further.
