What Is Charity Bike Buildathon
Charity Bike Buildathon is a heartwarming, hands-on team building activity that brings your group together to make a meaningful impact. Perfect for teams of any size, this experience challenges participants to collaborate as they assemble brand-new bicycles while navigating fun problem-solving tasks and creative challenges.
Once the bikes are built, your team’s efforts culminate in a special donation ceremony where the finished bicycles are gifted to a local children’s charity. It’s a moment filled with joy and purpose, highlighting the power of teamwork and giving back.
Whether you’re aiming to boost morale, enhance collaboration, or simply do something meaningful together, Charity Bike Buildathon offers a memorable way to bond as a team and make a difference in your community.

Welcome and Team Formation
The event will begin with a welcome from your event host, who will assist in organizing the group into teams. Following this, participants will receive a detailed briefing on the activity.
Charity Bike Buildathon Launch
The event host will give instructions on Charity Bike Buildathon. Each team will be responsible for creating a functional children’s bike, decorating it around a theme, and creating a marketing presentation including a visual and spoken element.
Charity Bike Buildathon
Teams will build their bike, begin their decorating and prepare their marketing presentation. Teams will have a budget they may use at the Outback “store” to purchase items like tools and decorations. Teams must past safety inspections before building their bike.
Charity Bike Buildathon Marketing Presentations
Participants will gather to experience each team’s marketing presentation. Hosts will score presentations and bike quality.
Charity Presentation
When available, the recipient charity will offer a brief presentation about the organization and offer thanks to the participants for their generous donation. If the charity cannot be present at the event, your event host will conduct the presentation on the charity’s behalf.
Wrap Up, Recognition and Photo Op
Teams will reconvene to exchange experiences and review their efforts. The event host will facilitate discussions on key takeaways and lessons learned, culminating in the announcement of the winning team. Winning teams will be awarded Outback Team Building medals. The event will wrap up with congratulations all around to commemorate a successful event.

What happens if we have inclement weather on the day of our activity? (For outdoor activities)
We appreciate that weather is not always predictable, so we have a back-up plan in the event of poor weather. We can switch your event to our indoor app-based Team Pursuit event at no extra charge. You would need to arrange a backup space for the activity, and we need notice of 2 hours to make the switch.
What if I need to change the date of my event?
We understand that plans can change, so please reach out as early as possible, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs. Date changes may incur a change fee, please reach out to your Sales Engagement Consultant to discuss further.
Where do these events take place?
Our events can take place anywhere. We have event coordinators located across North America who can come directly to you—whether it’s your office, a venue of your choice, a meeting space, or a unique location that best suits your needs. We’re flexible and ready to make your event seamless, no matter the location!
What if I need to make a last-minute change to my activity?
Depending on what the change is, we recommend discussing all changes with your dedicated Event Manager to see if we can accommodate the change.
