Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Location: North Vancouver, BC
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (flexible)

The HR generalist reports to the president and is the sole person accountable for driving the people agenda across the organization. The right person for the role is someone who is looking to be responsible for the strategy, planning and delivery of all people initiatives within the organization.

The right person for the role is someone who is looking for an opportunity to build on their experience in human resources while leading their own department.

The HR generalist will work independently, and will also work closely with the leadership team, providing support and coordination to drive a number of key employee initiatives. These include recruitment, onboarding, internal communications, benefits administration, employee engagement and professional development.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a human resources role. They will need to be comfortable working independently, be able to handle sensitive and confidential information, and demonstrate discretion with employee relations issues.

This is a true generalist role responsible for leading all human resource activities within an organization of 25+ employees and 25+ contractors. We are looking for someone who checks the following boxes:

Talent scout – experienced in seeking out and attracting new talent to our growing organization. We are looking for someone who is passionate and experienced in the full recruitment cycle.
Communications guru –an expert internal communicator, with experience in communicating sensitive messages, processes and procedures, supporting employees through change, and creating alignment with our core values and goals.
Passionate leader – a key member of the leadership team, the human resources generalist will need to be comfortable operating at a senior level and able to influence, negotiate, train and support managers, helping them to stay on track and remain fully on board with HR policies and practices.
Trusted advisor – employment law, leadership, training and development, are all areas of expertise for the HR generalist, who will work closely with the leadership team to provide advice and guidance on issues such as contracts, performance management, pay and benefits.
